Tourist Visa Requirements
The Passport Portal
- Your trusty passport is your gateway. Ensure it has at least three months’ validity beyond your planned departure from the Schengen area.
- Fill out the Hungary visa application form with care. Provide accurate information that aligns with the rest of your required documents. Print the form and sign it at the end.
- Attach two passport photos (no older than three months) that meet the photograph requirements for a Hungarian Schengen visa application.
- Your valid passport must:
- Have at least two blank pages for visa affixing.
- Not be older than 10 years.
- Be valid for at least an additional three months beyond your planned departure from Hungary and the entire Schengen territory.
Hungary Travel Health Insurance
- Obtain travel health insurance with coverage of at least €30,000 for medical emergencies. This insurance must be valid in Hungary and the entire Schengen territory.
- Provide proof of travel, which can be one of the following:
- Round-trip Flight Itinerary: If you’re flying to Hungary, submit a document showing your booked flight details (flight numbers, dates, and personal information).
- Car Registration and Insurance: If you’re traveling by car, include car registration, car insurance, and return travel tickets (ferry or Eurotunnel) with the car’s registration number and driver’s license.
