UK Traveler Praises Delhi Metro as ‘Nicer’ Than London Underground | WATCH

A UK travel vlogger, Alex Wanders, has gone viral after sharing his enthusiastic reaction to the Delhi Metro, declaring it “nicer” than the London Underground. His video, particularly highlighting the Rajiv Chowk Metro Station, has resonated with millions online, sparking pride among Indian netizens and drawing comparisons between the two metro systems.

In the viral Instagram reel, Alex is seen entering the bustling Rajiv Chowk station, visibly impressed by its cleanliness, smoothly operating escalators, and efficient crowd management. His one-word reaction – “Wow” – captured the essence of his surprise and admiration. The video, titled “POV: Delhi’s metro is nicer than London Underground,” quickly garnered over 6 lakh (600,000) views and thousands of comments.

Many Indian users expressed their pride in the Delhi Metro, citing its efficiency, affordability, modern infrastructure, and cleanliness. Some also pointed out that while the London Underground has a rich history as the world’s oldest subway system, the Delhi Metro, being relatively newer, boasts more contemporary features, air-conditioned coaches, and a wider network that extends to various NCR regions.

This isn’t the first time a foreign traveler has praised the Delhi Metro. Another UK vlogger, Edd Owen, also shared a viral video earlier this year, commending its cleanliness, efficiency, and connectivity, advising tourists to use it instead of getting “scammed” by auto drivers. These videos highlight a growing appreciation for India’s modern public transportation infrastructure among international visitors.
